Blind

Bluff
When players use a ruse to intentionally mislead their opponents about the strength of their hand, they are considered bluffing. While it’s an effective strategy, if must be implemented sparingly and at the optimum time in the game.
Call
When a player matches the bet on the table, they are said to be calling.
Check
This is when a player is required to not make a wager to play in the game.
Flush
A poker hand ranking where all the cards of the hand are of the same suit.
Flop
In community card poker games like Texas Hold ‘Em or Omaha Poker, this occurs when the dealer reveals the first three community cards to all players.
River
This is the fifth and last card that the dealer will add to the community cards. Mainly found in games like Omaha and Texas Hold ‘Em.
Stud
A poker variation where cards are dealt face up to players. The opposite of draw poker.
Turn
Occurring after the flop, this is the revelation of the fourth community card.
While this is only a small list of poker terms, these are the most used and will get anyone off to a good start playing poker.
